Get ready for an unforgettable evening as Mary Coughlan takes to the stage with her band, joined by special guest Jimmy Smyth.
Widely regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues singers, Mary Coughlan is celebrated for her soulful voice, emotional depth, and commanding stage presence. For over four decades, she has seamlessly blended blues, jazz, Irish musical traditions, and cabaret with striking honesty and artistry.
Her debut album, Tired and Emotional (1985), brought her widespread acclaim, and more than 15 albums later, she continues to captivate audiences around the world.
Performing with her outstanding band—including piano maestro Johnny Taylor—this promises to be a truly special concert set within the superb acoustics of Warrenpoint Town Hall.
Mary will headline as part of the 27th Annual International Guinness Blues on the Bay Festival 2026 in Warrenpoint, County Down.
Jimmy Smyth
Special guest Jimmy Smyth is one of Ireland’s finest guitarists—a Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter whose career spans rock, blues, jazz, and country. A Navan native, he began playing guitar at the age of seven and has since performed with leading artists including Roger Daltrey, Chaka Khan, and Van Morrison.
He has also composed music for film and television and worked extensively as a producer and musical director. Formerly of The Bogey Boys, Smyth is now Head of Guitar Studies at BIMM Dublin and continues to tour internationally, bringing his distinctive versatility and virtuosity to stages worldwide.
